SCES has adopted a writing program called Empowering Writers. This program is theme based and fun for all students! This program exposes students to all of the writing styles (Narrative, Expository, and Opinion) throughout each theme. This provides more repeated exposure to the writing styles and to help increase chances at mastery of the style.
Math:
Place Value, Addition and Subtraction Strategies, Odd and Even Numbers, Time, Money, Shapes, and Word Problems with Addition and Subtraction
Science:
Life Cycles, Air and Weather, Solids & Liquids, Sound
